Yesterday I worked on #beento and decided on using #golang for the web service. Picked the language as I really wanted to build something in it and because of a couple of other language features which I think will help me out in the long run.

First bit of functionality I built was location search which queries the Google Places API. The app will query two different Google Places API concurrently and merge the results together.

Made some good #golang progress on the side project. Wanted to add some things to the front-end too but ran into a Gulp snag that ruined my energy. Have to keep plugging away because I agreed to present the app at a meetup in two weeks.

Finishing up work on the base of our queue service. Using #golang goroutines and channels for easy concurrency. Have to say I'm pleased with how its designed and performing so far.

Submitting a patch for #LLDB to fix a warning in the newly added support for the #GoLang type system. This raises a broader question though of how sizes of things should be represented within LLDB as they are currently any of uint32_t, int64_t, uint64_t or size_t.
