I like the idea of both, but always end up frustrated at having my outlines in separate apps to where I flesh them out into full articles. What kind of thing do you create outlines for?

Well, exactly, I like them both as well. Workflowy for its speed and “infinity” and tags; OO for its columns, styling and that its limited to single documents. I use outlines for a daily „logbook“, for notes on projects, summaries of books, quick notes, planning of trips, sharing of notes etc. Many different usage cases, maybe thats part of the problem. But outlining is the way my brain works, always did, since school at least.

I know what you mean. I personally love Workflowy, but it just doesn’t seem to fit. I’ve found Dynalist to be a good alternative, however. I think of it as Workflowy, enhanced.

Thanks @melt ! Testing it now, looks really great and exactly what i want / need. Hopefully they release soon an iOS app!
