I’ve been nudging my #exist #android #customtracking beta testers recently, trying to get feedback (in traditional fashion, only 3 or 4 of the group bother to say anything), fixing some small issues, and doing some extra bits and pieces to round it all out, like writing some new insight types. The little feedback I have received has been positive at least, so I don’t think there’s too much left to do. When @belle has finished and tested it for iOS (maybe a few months?), then we can launch 😁

In the meantime I’ll need to work out what to go on with.

Gotta love working with beta testers. If 10 people agree to test, 3 or 4 actually do, and 1 or 2 actually provide useful feedback. Even better when people don’t read the testing doc and some of the reports are of known and correct behavior. I feel like I should be more confident that the bugs have been shaken out after a beta test, but usually I’m not.

Ha, you’ve described it to a tee. According to the Play Store I have 24 installs, maybe 7 or 8 people actively using it, and feedback from 3 or 4 (and two people mentioned expected behaviour). Belle has the same issue too, and her approach to releasing an iOS update now is not “it’s been well tested so it should be safe for everyone else”, but “well, at least I found the 2 or 3 most obvious bugs before everyone else reports all the rest”. 😐
