#itunesconnect

Finally got my latest build of #exist for #ios uploaded to #TestFlight yesterday after failing for four days. Had to use Application Loader instead of Xcode in the end, because Xcode just kept failing. #laterlog

Although I’m still annoyed by some of the UI changes to #itunesconnect (why can’t I see what version my testers last installed?!), I do like that once a beta build is approved by TestFlight reviewers it now goes straight out to my external testers without me doing anything. Very helpful since TestFlight reviewers tend to do their thing while I’m asleep!

Worked on fixing some #bugs in #exist for #ios today after a user emailed about one I had completely missed. The tricky thing about Exist is every user has a different combination of data, so sometimes I don’t account for every case. In this instance I was assuming users would always have both time in bed data and time asleep data (or neither), so some of my layout code was causing the app to crash for this user who only has time in bed data.

Fixed up that bug and tried to submit to Apple, but was thwarted by my computer. Apparently it downloaded a beta update to El Capitan when I wasn’t looking, which meant my app build wouldn’t be accepted by #itunesconnect. So I had to update my system with the latest public version of El Cap, turn off beta updates, re-archive the app, and upload all over again. Finally got it sorted and requested an expedited review due to the nasty bug. Fingers crossed it’ll go through before the App Store closes in 2 days!
